Ensign Shaffer was created when two good friends (previously-coworkers) decided to become business partners. We love construction and work together brilliantly! We had many subs and vendors say “When you start your own company, I want to be part of it!”
Tari Ensign has been fascinated by homes all her life.
“I was only 12 years old when I won a giant purple ribbon for drawing a perspective of a city block. No one told a little girl to be a contractor when I was growing up, but they were ok with encouraging architecture so that’s the path I took. My first custom home design was in the Columbine Country Club at the age of 20 and my first business. After 24 years of design, I became a supervisor and found out how much I love construction! Being on site is energizing! Doing what’s needed with my gloves and tool-belt on, finding solutions for the moments concern or just cleaning up is a satisfying day’s work.”
Shaffer became too ill to work and to respect her privacy, we only ask for your prayers.
“Together we had dreams for our business and many of them have been realized!
We wanted a company that really cares about the clients as well as the sub-contractors. Did you know that six out of ten people in the construction industry are caregivers for someone other than a child? - special needs children, parents, spouses, other family members, etc.
Our philosophy on getting the work done on schedule is understanding people. Some people want to work Mon-Fri & 9-5, some 7:30-3:30, or Saturdays or evenings. Understanding why people work on your home other than for a paycheck, helps everyone feel invested in the quality of your home. We’re a family made of friends, encouraging each other to have a strong work ethic as well as a healthy personal life.”
